Tip #1: Make sure that you have the right message for the right audience with the right product.
This tip is KEY. Basically, what we’re talking about is understanding your target market.
Make sure who you’re talking to is the right audience. The message you’re telling them and the product you’re promoting to them should all be aligned with the audience. Make sure it’s all congruent. So, for example, you probably don’t want to be selling steaks to a vegan because that doesn’t work. That’s not the target market, and it kind of makes you look like you don’t know what you’re doing. You want to make sure that you’re targeting the right people and talking to them the way they want to talk to you.
Consider what it is that your viewers are going through? What are their challenges? A great way to do this, guys, is to go into some forums. Go on Facebook groups and do a little bit of research. Talk to people and find out what is the thing that bothers them the most so that you can speak about it.
It definitely helps your conversions by a tremendous amount. Your sales will go through the roof, just by making sure you’re talking to them with the words and things that they’re already talking about, because then they feel like, “Oh, this is exactly for me. I should pay attention.”
Tip #2: Make sure that you strategically create videos that can be found using SEO and search.
What do I mean by that? That means using the actual search function on YouTube, so that when people search there for a particular keyword, they’re going to find your videos. Let’s say, for example, we’re on YouTube right now and someone is trying to find affiliate marketing strategies.
Well, you want to make sure that when you type in your video specifically, it has that keyword in the title, in the description, and in the video itself. That you’re mentioning the keywords right in the video, so that when someone types in affiliate marketing strategies, they’re going to be able to find it.
You’ve positioned your video around a keyword that has searches already. People are searching for these keywords, and then you would have created and strategically positioned your video so that the keyword is in all the right places.
Tip #3: Make sure that you find yourself in a place where there’s low competition.
Now, in the beginning this is really helpful because there’s a lot of other big channels out there, a lot of content. They’re getting more promotion than your stuff, so you want to make sure that you start off being in a place where there’s not as much competition. Not many people talking about it. It doesn’t mean that you can’t start creating content that is really popular. I encourage that. Make sure that you find yourself in a place where there’s low competition.
You should definitely go after the big keywords too, but it also makes sense to make sure that you go after the low competition space. For example, a way that you could find a little competition space is to use a Google Keyword planner. Go in and pull up a bunch of keywords around your particular niche and you can see the volume of the competition.
So, if you find one that’s low competition, but has a decent amount of volume, that could be a place where that could be an example of a place that has little competition space, but has a need.
Tip #4: Make sure you create content…really good, valuable content.
You want to think about how the content is that you like. How does it look to you? How detailed is it? How highly involved is it? You know the kind of information that you want to save and come back to later because it’s that good.
Of course, it takes time to create that piece of content, but your marketplace is going to reward you for taking the time out to create content like that.
The thoroughness, integrity, and quality of who you are as a creator is represented in your work. All of these things go in to play. It’s really important to make sure to not only create highly creative content, but also high-quality content.
Tip #5: Make sure you have a clear call to action.
Alright, so a call to action, if you don’t know, is basically telling people what you want them to do. Believe it or not. If you don’t have a clear call to action, viewers will not click on that link.
It’s very interesting. People have to be told what to do and it’s simple. The clearer the call to action is, the more they click. Your call to action is more effective when you don’t have more than one call-to-action option.
It confuses people. They don’t know which one to pick. So, guess what, they don’t pick anything. So, you want to have one single call to action. You want to make it very clear and very simple what they get from that call to action. You also want to make sure you mention it in your video and not just in the description.
If you don’t tell people, “Hey, click on the link below, so you can get my free guide,” they won’t do it. It’s very simple, straight, to the point, and will definitely increase your conversions and your sales.
Tip #6: Consider mixing in low ticket and high ticket offers.
In the affiliate marketing space, you can have affiliate offers that pay between $10-30 dollars. That’s a small percentage. Amazon is a perfect example: You get paid between 4-10%, which is a small amount. This means you need a higher number of people to click and buy to make in order to make a significant amount. So, if you’re trying to go full-time with affiliate marketing, it may take you a while if all of your offers are low ticket.
If you mix a high ticket offer along with it, not many people will buy the high ticket offer because it could be a $5-15 thousand dollar offer, depending on what it is. It could be a high value item.
Whatever the case is, not many people will buy it, but guess what…somebody might. Somebody might want to give themselves that opportunity. One person may be willing to invest in themselves, who’s willing to see the value and wants to invest in it.
It’s a great way to rack up $5-10 thousand dollar commissions per sale…ONE SALE. How many low ticket offers would you have to sell in order to get that type of BIG commissions? A whole lot, right?
Tip #7: Consistency. Consistency. Consistency.
I can’t really emphasize to you enough how much consistency means in this affiliate marketing game. Especially, if you’re promoting on YouTube because you’ve got to think about this…
Youtube is the #2 search engine on the planet. There’s about a thousand channels being started every hour or every day. So, that’s a whole bunch of people.
Entering the YouTube platform, trying to make money, trying to do something, but the majority of people don’t make it. Why? Because YouTube has set up certain limits, certain upper limits and glass ceilings that you don’t know about.
Only the serious people will ever see serious success on YouTube. So, what that means is that if you really want your videos to be seen, which means getting more traffic, which then means more clicks, which then means MORE conversions and MORE affiliates sales for you.
That means you have to consistently produce videos. By consistently, you don’t want to do it necessarily every day, but you should be putting videos up at least three to four times a week. That shows your serious. Not only do you have to do that for a consistent period of time, but you have to do it for a certain amount of time consistently.
You become an expert and an authority figure and that’s where the Success is.
Success lies in the mundane and in doing the same thing every single day.
Staying consistent and staying disciplined.
